Project Manager II

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois
Date Posted: 01-24-2017
Job title: Project Manager
Duration : 24+ Months
Location : Oakbrook Terrace IL

Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years' experience
Prefer experience with energy conservation/energy efficiency (direct industry experience or in the field) would contribute to the success of this position
Need to have strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders (internal groups, external groups, vendors, executives, etc.)
High sensitivity to customer issues and some experience dealing with customer inquiries and answering them and taking responsibility for completing them
Both of the managers run rebate programs, so there is frequent necessity to get back to the customers and/or the departments who get back in touch with the customers.  Attention to the customer's experience and timeliness is important.
Strong data background (Excel, etc) and putting together PowerPoint presentations is important too
Mostly will be supporting rebate based energy efficiency programs (monitoring, tracking successes, interfacing with implementation contractors who carry out the day-to-day tasks as well as interfacing with the customers in issue resolution); Helping them to develop continuous improvements in the programs that they manage; some reporting functions including to upper level management; other ad hoc requests
Continuous improvement:  They get a great deal of data from the implementation vendor and they would like to see someone be able to take that data to help them to develop strategies to leverage that data to improve the processes
Experience in any rebate program would be a plus
Any other programs that might lead to success?  Outside of direct
rebate program experience someone with marketing/billing experience might be a good fit or even someone with engineering experience if they were interested in the customer contact pieces
Excel level of experience:  Pivot tables and Vlookups will be important; Macro experience could be helpful, but not required
Project management vs. customer service:  More time (80-85%) of the time will be spent on the program/project management side with the remainder of the time being spent on customer service issues
